80 yr old male from Bikaner suffered from severe episodes of hypertension resulting in nose bleeding. Sonography and subsequent renal angiography and DTPA scan revealed total occlusion of left renal artery that supplies blood to the kidney.
As a result left kidney became totally non functioning. We performed laparoscopic removal of left kidney , he was discharged after 48 hrs and there was total normalisation of blood pressure
